This mural mixed with collage was created by children adults of a life long education group in Sendai, Japan just one month before the massive earthquake. The coastal part of Sendai city was swallen by the tsunami.

Kids' Guernica Conference in Ghent, Belgium

A conference on Kids' Guernica and European Capitals of Culture: the Dimension of Peace was organized to discuss the future of this project at University of Ghent by Poiein kai Prattein.

Origami Guernica in India

January 10, 2011
20 boys of Narendrapur Ramakrishna mission, Blind Boys Academy created a fantastic Guernica size peace mural. They used more than 6,000 color Origami, folding papers, and pasted on a black canvas on the theme of climate change. They prepared the folding papers for last six months and completed the peace mural on January 3-5 after their continuous hard work.
Two professors from Japan, Abe, Professor of Art Education and Haraguchi, Professor of Special Education, supported the workshop.
