Collaboration with Haiti and Japan

July 29, 2012
The half of the canvas was painted by children of Cesla School in Bon Repos, Haiti which also suffered a great disaster by earthquake in 2010. The painting was completed last summer and sent to Japan. The other half of the painting was completed by children of Natori community near the Sendai airport swallowed by the tsunami of 3.11, last year. They are still living in a temporary housing even one year after the disaster. This Kids’ Guernica is a collaborative work with children in the both countries hit by earthquakes and shows a message of the necessity of cooperation to struggle for revival after the earthquakes.
